“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” (Colossians 3:17 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.”
This time of year makes one reflect on the past. Observing Christmas Day is important but keeping Christ in Christmas is quite another thing. In order to keep Christ in Christmas, you must be willing to forget what you have done for others and be reminded of the contributions others have made on your behalf.
When writing to the Church at Colossi, the Apostle Paul admonished this assembly not to get away from keeping His name prominent in their everyday life. Everyday should begin with Him and end with Him. We have no strength unless He gives it to us. So, while you are busy baking or decorating don’t forget to lift your voice in praise for what He has given you.
Others are the reason Jesus came. The real reason behind this wonderful celebration came about because Jesus wrapped himself in flesh and came on earth to dwell. He came for us. This gift of His birth is so precious to mankind.
Laws have been passed across our country intent on driving Christians out of the public square. Don’t let the world mandate you to remove the Christ in Christmas.
Merry Christmas to all!
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for this wonderful time of the year that we can reflect on Your birth. Let us continue to praise Your name and be thankful for You are the reason for this season we celebrate!
