Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10
Just wanted to share a poem that I wrote a year or so ago.
In the hustle and bustle of daily life our thoughts rush to and fro.
We’re busy at this and busy at that, and to one more place we must go.
Sometimes we forget the important thing is not what we accomplished today.
But did we take time to meet with the Lord, to read His Word and pray.
“Be still and know that I am God,” His voice speaks soft and clear.
He has so much to share with us if we’d stop long enough to hear.
It won’t matter when life is done how much money and wealth we earned.
The Lord will judge our success on how much of Him we learned.
We must lay aside our busy cares, find a secret place to pray.
When we give God first place in our life He will direct us through each day.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me today to take time to talk to you, to read your Word and meditate upon it.
