“Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” I Thessalonians 5:18 ESV
With the beautiful weather we have been experiencing this fall, it is easy to thank the Lord for each day. But as the weather changes, and we experience cold, wind and snow, it may take more effort to thank Him.
When everything is going well in our lives, it is so easy to praise God. When we face sickness, financial problems, or emotional upsets, it requires more effort to give thanks.
Circumstances may change, but the Lord is still there. The Scripture says give thanks “in” all things, not “for” all things. We may not be thankful for what is happening at the moment, but we can still praise Him, for we know that He is working everything together for our good.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for your promise that you will never leave us nor forsake us. Regardless of what circumstances we face today, help us to give you thanks, and trust you to give us the strength for whatever we are going through.
