“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” Jeremiah 17:7
A recent new report told the tragic story that in the last few days, four young teen-age girls had committed suicide in one of our provinces. A friend and I were discussing this, and came to the conclusion that in order for them to do this, they must have lost all hope for their future. How terrible to think that they could reach such a point. How is it possible in our country today, that these young people had never heard there was hope in Jesus?
No matter how bad our circumstances, or how heavy the load we carry, when we have put our trust in the Lord, He gives us hope. They sky may be dark today, but tomorrow the sun will shine again. The pantry may be almost empty, but the Lord will provide. Our bank account may be low, but the need will be met. Our body may be weak and tired, but strength will return. Hope is what keeps us moving forward and we are blessed.
Prayer: Jesus our hope is in you. Thank you for your blessings on us and the hope we have of spending eternity with you. Help us to share that hope with all we meet.
