“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24
In the book of Esther, we read how wicked Haman had devised a plan to hang Mordecai. He went early in the day to the King to get the authority to do so.
It so happened that the king had not slept well the night before and had been reading an account of something good that Mordecai had done. So before Haman had a chance to present his request, the king asked him what was the best way to honour someone who deserved it. Haman, of course, thought it must be him that the king wanted to honour, so he came up with a lavish plan. How angry he must have felt, when he realized the king was not referring to him, but to Mordecai.
God’s timing is always perfect. He had a plan to save his people at this time, and He was in control.
How many times has God intervened in our lives, sending an answer before we even knew we needed it? Often as we look back, we see how little decisions and happenings in our lives, paved the way for what we are experiencing today. He knows our future and our every need.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you, that we can safely trust in you, knowing that you have a plan and a purpose for our lives, and that you prepare ahead of time for everything we may face.
