Renewal

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16, King James Version)

Memberships provide privileges from no waiting in line and best seats to lounge access and other benefits. My local Friends of the Library bookstore offers ten free items a year—from choices of magazines, paperbacks, or hardcover books. The rewards continue as long as I pay my dues. Apostle Paul offers followers of Christ the best membership deal yet. My body ages daily, but my soul is renewed.

Isaiah said it like this: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Prayer: Lord, my mirror and lack of energy shows much aging since I first met you as a vibrant teen. I’m glad You look beyond the exterior and see my soul that is renewed in You daily. Amen.
