“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Proverbs 16:25 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)
If you are reading this, there is a good chance that we have already agreed on the fact that Jesus Christ is the center of our lives and it is our jobs to do everything we need to do to live for Him. It’s a no-brainer – we want to please Him and therefore we must follow Him. Unfortunately, there are times that our human nature leads us astray. Even the most sincere people can fall into this trap. It is so important that we have continuous communication with God. Without it, our carnal nature may lead us to do things that feel fine but are really not. The Holy Spirit can speak to us at any time but we must be open to listening. He can always show us what is right and wrong.
Prayer: Lord, help me to be sensitive to your voice throughout every day. Allow Your Spirit to lead me when I’m doing things that are displeasing to You. Amen.
