A Strong Heart

“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever” (Psalm 73:26, Holy Bible, New Living Translation).

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Heart-related health issues recognize no age limitations, touching newborns to elderly. The psalmist understood that he might not always be a healthy person. He proclaimed that even when health eluded him, God would continue to be his strength.

Lord, I am challenged with heart disease and failing health. My body is weak, but You are the strength of my life. That strength is eternal. Amen.
