Genuine Praise

“I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever” (Psalm 145:1, Holy Bible, New Living Translation).

Praises, like compliments, are either offered in sincerity or for a shallow reason. When offered from the lips without genuineness, compliments fall flat. When praises to God originate from the soul, as adoration from creation to Creator, they reach the heavens and become genuine eternal praise.

Prayer: Lord, I praise Your name today. I exalt You above all, not as a shallow compliment, but genuine praise because You are my God and my King. Amen.
