God’s Think Tank

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)

I’ve been thinking; dangerous on my part, I know! God’s think tank is so different from mankind. You can find a think tank on almost anything today.

Think tanks were designed to help solve social issues that we face. From 1970-2000 conservative think tanks grew from 70-300. The Heritage Foundation, one of the most widely respected research and educational institution in the world was founded in 1973. As a think tank it formulates and promotes conservation public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, tradition values, and a strong national defense.

God has a think tank also to help social issues. It was founded centuries ago. He compiled it in The Book called the “Bible.” He knew that what we thought about would affect us on a daily basis. If you begin to do it God’s way everything will work out for your good. What God desires for us to think on will give us hope. He knew if we thought right we would bring honor to Him; treat our fellow man right; and bring credit to ourselves.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for Your Word. I want to think more on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good report, virtue and praise. By thinking right my life will be more disciplined. Your Word continues to bring comfort and hope even when I don’t understand what is going on. Amen!
