Waiting for Joy

“Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

Holy Bible, Psalm 30:5, New King James

When finances are slim, you pray, but darkness hovers. You wonder how much longer the night can be.

When you wait at the hospital at the bedside of a family member, you pray and wonder how much longer before morning.

When your child runs away from home, the first night is longer than you can tolerate. How much longer before daylight?

You are not alone. Make use of the waiting. Read Psalm 30:6. Pray. Even if the night is longer than you anticipated, trust that joy will come in the morning.

Prayer: Lord, when I weep, surrounded by darkness, I trust in You to bring me through the night. Amen.
