“But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God” (Mark 10:15 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible).
Recently, I hosted a Mother/Daughter Tea at my house. One of the ladies brought a friend with her. Soon our conversation turned to church. She asked the question, “Is your church kid-friendly?” I was happy to tell her that we love children and welcome them at our church. The last church she attended didn’t like kids she explained.
My mind went to this scripture. The Disciples had problems with children it seemed. They wanted to shoo them away, but Jesus insisted they be included. He closed His reprimand with, “for of such is the Kingdom of God.”
I hope you are a part of a Kid-Friendly Church. Heaven will be full of wonderful children that many have turned away. I was a shy nine-year-old when God put His sweet Spirit in me. He touched me and my life has never been the same. My church loved me and I’m so glad they did!
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for welcoming me with wide-opened arms of love and mercy. I’m so glad You included me in the Kingdom of Heaven.
