“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” (Colossians 3:16 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)
The word “rule” is commonly used in reference to the Olympic and other games. It means, to be a director, or arbiter of the public games; to preside over them and preserve order, and to distribute the prizes to the victors.
Life is full of agitations, but, when the peace of God rules in our life, He decides the outcome for us. We are dependent on Him who is the author and the finisher of our faith. When peace rules all is safe!
God wants to rule our lives so that we can be winners. We need to be thankful for all of His mercies and the privilege to represent Him. One day soon it will be worth it all!
Prayer: God, I want You to rule my heart. I thank You for the opportunity I have to represent You and be a light in this dark world. May every detail of my life be for giving You glory and honor!
