There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! (Romans 5:3-5, The Message)
In everything that happens, there is always something to learn. God never wastes an opportunity to show us something new. Even when trouble comes our way, we need to learn to be patient and watch as God works everything out for good. God has incredible plans for us. It won’t always seem like something is coming our way, but if we can wait patiently we will be overwhelmed by what he does through us.
Prayer: Thank you for directing our steps. I’m personally praying for patience as I wait to see what you are going to do in my life. I pray that your spirit walk with me wherever I go. Help me to make the right decisions when faced with challenges that I don’t understand. In Jesus name, amen.
