And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4, NLT)
As I read 2 Corinthians 4 this morning I felt immediate conviction. In my earlier Christian years I was so much more willing to get out of my comfort zone to show people the gospel. Somewhere along the way I found myself in disputes about my lifestyle choice and these conversations led me to be afraid to share the greatness of God with my friends and family. We have to remember that people who don’t know Him are blinded and need their eyes opened before they will ever realize who He truly is. We need to pray that God will unveil their eyes and give us boldness to reach the lost.
Prayer: Lord, help us to get over ourselves and our feelings of doubt and fear. We need to be soul winners and that can’t happen if we are too scared to tell people of Your greatness. Use us to change our world. Amen.
