Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22, Holy Bible, New King James)
Have you ever attended a special event for the first time? Maybe you were a student in a new school, or perhaps attending your first meeting after joining a professional organization. What about your first day at church in a new city? Did the others welcome you, or did you feel out of place?
Apostle Paul in this writing to the church at Ephesus assured them that they were not outsiders but members, an important part of the framework of the temple of God, built on the foundation of the prophets and apostles. If the Holy Spirit lives in you, you are not a misfit.
Prayer: Lord, I cling to these words that makes me part of Your kingdom. Amen.
