Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10, KJV)
Yesterday I was driving home from lunch and came face to face with what might have been my last day on earth. I was seconds away from a head on collision. I’ve had close calls before, but nothing like this. By the grace of God there was no accident at all but things could have been very different. As I continued driving – a little shaken up to say the least – I began thanking God for what He had just done for me. Nothing quite changes your perspective on life like a near death experience. We don’t know how long we are here for. You have to make the best of every moment you are given. Make choices that you will not regret and do things for His kingdom because that is the only thing that matters once you are gone.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your protection. We don’t even know how many times you have kept us from harms way. I am thankful today for the eternal life that we can have if we life wholeheartedly for you. Amen!
