You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things. (Romans 2:1-2, NLT)
I think sometimes we judge our own sin based on the scale of our friends. God wants us to use Him as our scale. It is very easy for us to compare ourselves to other people but that is not the point. Before you begin judging the sins of other people you need to take some time and check your own life. Worry about what YOU are doing and ask yourself if your actions are right in the eyes of God.
Prayer: Lord, I ask that you convict us of our wrong doings. If there are things that we shouldn’t be doing, help us to see the fault in our ways. Forgive us for our shortcomings and help us to be better. In Jesus name, amen.
