“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.” (1 John 4:7 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)
In February, love is celebrated in many ways. On Valentines Day, some sent flowers to show their love. Others bought candy or expensive jewelry to impress their lovers. Both romantic and funny cards were purchased to convey love.
According to the Scripture, love is of God! To really love you must be born of God and know Him. Real love causes us to promote others and only desire the best for others. How is this kind of love possible? By knowing the God of love, it makes loving others possible.
His love never shows partiality as He loves us all the same. Because He loves us, He gave His life for us so that we could see love in action. Actions speak louder than words any day.
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for loving me. Help me to love like You loved. By loving You I can reflect who You are to those around me. Your love has made an indelible impression on my life. Let the world see You through my actions. Amen.
