“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” (Psalm 27:14, Holy Bible, King James Version)
You’re on time for a medical appointment, but a greeting, “Someone will be right with you,” multiplies into an hour of waiting, then more.
You’re stuck in traffic when all lanes but yours move ahead. You move to another lane and it stops.
You’re next in a checkout line only to have the closed sign placed on the counter after the shopper in front of you.
Life is filled with waiting times. So why the impatience with God when He asks us to wait for His response to prayers? The Psalmist says that waiting time is productive. When we wait with courage, God rewards us with strength.
Prayer: Lord, strengthen my heart while I wait for Your answer. Amen.
