Rest in hope

Anne Jan. 2016 7“The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.  It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:25-26

Many times we come to the Lord asking Him for something and we would like the answer right away.  The hardest thing in the world is to leave it with Him and patiently wait for the answer.

I think that this is especially true when we have a child who is not serving God and our greatest desire is to see them saved.  We pray every day for them to make a change in their lives, and nothing seems to be happening.

This Scripture tells us that we should hope and wait patiently for the Lord to answer our request.  That doesn’t mean we stop praying, but we rest in the promise He has given us, and know that in His perfect time, our prayer will be answered.  There is nothing impossible with God.

Prayer:  Lord, we desire our loved ones to be saved, and we place them in your hands, knowing that you will bring it to pass.  We hope and rest in your timing.
