Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. (Joel 2:12-13, KJV)
As I was reading the book of Joel this morning I stopped to think about what is happening in our world today. One part of me is quick to brush it off because I know that there is little I can do to fix it. Another part of me wants to run around preaching his return because I know he has to be coming soon. We can’t spend our time worrying because we will make ourselves sick. Pray, repent and tell people about Jesus. That’s all we can do.
Prayer: Set our hearts on you today, God. I pray for your conviction today. Let us be ready for your coming. In Jesus name, amen.
