“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” Galatians 1:6-7
Regular gas in a premium fuel tank is a recipe for disaster. And that’s what happens when we listen to a watered-down Gospel. We need to be careful what preaching we listen to.
The Bible teaches us that it is noble and wise to judge what people say by comparing it to the Word of God. We can’t just accept something because the messenger is engaging or has great oratory skills.
God is pleased when we study our Bibles regularly so that we can discern between truth and error. Let’s fill our minds with Bible-based godly preaching that causes us to focus on God and not on His messenger.
Prayer: Lord, give me discernment when it comes to preaching. There is so much available in the media, and it may be delivered in a manner that is so attractive. But let me look below the surface and make sure that it lines up with Your Word.
