“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” (Philippians 1:7 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)
Today we are celebrating 47 years of marriage. Our wedding was the beginning of a journey with the man of my dreams. We started out young and we are 47 years older and still counting the years that God has given us.
The Apostle Paul used strong language when he said, “Being confident…” He was convinced and had no doubt about His God and His performance. He wanted the Philippian church to know that they could go on in confidence in the Lord and make it to the finish line.
Beginnings are so important. So glad that one day I started my walk with the Lord and I plan to finish strong in Jesus!
Prayer: It’s so good to be confident in the fact that You are walking beside me daily. I want to finish life’s race and hear you say, “Well done!”
