We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God—those whom he has called according to his plan. (Romans 8:28, God’s Word Translation)
Trials are inevitable. Overwhelming obstacles are a part of life. In my ten years as a Christian, I have come to know a thing or two about the God that we serve. First and foremost, He would never allow us to go through something without some underlying purpose. In whatever we face, there will always be things to learn. As frustrating as it is to constantly find yourself asking God why He allows less than welcome situations into your life, you have to remember that He always knows what is best and has a plan for us. Rather than crying about your problems – we have all been guilty of this – take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there. Ask Him what He is trying to show you and move on.
Prayer: While I do not gladly welcome tribulation, if that is what it takes for you to show me something about who You are, then let it be. I am thankful that you continuously show us who You are through the circumstances that arise in our lives. You are truly a living God, and I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to serve You. Thank you, Jesus! Amen.
