Skipping Easter

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. (John 11:25, Holy Bible, New King James)

I was tempted to skip Easter―at least this devotion. Easter is over in many countries as Christians in the western world rise to celebrate the tradition. There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t already been heralded. Who has time to read today’s blog? Why not skip Easter? But the words of Jesus nudged me into action.

What if a single person in more than seven billion in the world’s population is looking for hope? It is here. Celebrate with me because Jesus lives.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I remember Your sacrifice and celebrate Your resurrection today. Because You live, I have hope. Amen.
