And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?” (Matthew 16:3, Holy Bible, New American Standard).
Rain is in the weather forecast for Easter Sunday. Even with the drought, I can’t say I appreciate the day nature has chosen to saturate my area of Northern California. Skeptics will not prepare. Some will say, “Those forecasters seldom get it right,” or “They’ve been wrong before.” Like weather warnings, people are unprepared for the return of Jesus.
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Holy Bible, King James Version).
Prayer: Jesus, I am not just looking for rain. I’m looking for Your return. Amen.
