“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
What is perfect strength? Does it mean the power to break any barrier, lift any burden, solve every problem? Well, God can do all those things, but according to this verse His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
In other words, there is no greater or brighter testimony to this world of God’s power than for an imperfect human being to throw themselves on God’s mercy in their times of weakness. Rather than complaining, moaning or groaning when things go wrong, we can choose to glorify God and let Him accomplish the impossible through us.
Next time circumstances are different than you would like, seize the opportunity to let God’s perfect strength shine through your weakness. It will be glorious!
Prayer: Lord, sometimes I feel so weak. Let Your strength be perfected in my life, and I will give You all the glory.
