Great Joy

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. (Luke 2:10, Holy Bible, King James Version)

Joy is defined as happiness or a sense of well-being. Modern synonyms like bliss, delight, enjoyment, and pleasure make joy sound selfish.

The Jubilee 2000 translation puts the focus where it belongs, paired with the gospel for all people.

But the angel said unto them, Fear not; for, behold, I bring you a gospel of great joy, which shall be to all the people.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for bringing good tidings, the gospel, a joyous experience for all people. Amen.
