“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” (Exodus 14:13 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)
The children of Israel were unarmed, without courage and thinking defeat when their leader Moses stood up and told them things were going to change. They were facing the Red Sea and the Egyptians were in hot pursuit. Despair and discouragement had entered the camp.
Thank God for leaders who stand strong in the face of adverse circumstances. Moses saw the Egyptians too, but knew that his God was going to deliver His people. Through eyes of faith he saw deliverance for the people of Israel.
Perhaps you are facing insurmountable odds and feel there is no way out just like the children of Israel. I want you to know that you can trust God regardless of what you are seeing. God works independently of all human help and means. Strong faith knows that God is in charge of your situation and mine also.
Prayer: Lord, I simply cannot do anything to change the situation I’m facing on my own. I need you to intervene. You are my deliverer. You know exactly what needs done and I am trusting in You alone. Amen!
