Walk in Love

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.  And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Ephesians 5:1-2, ESV)

In this scripture of Ephesians, the Lord asks us to walk in love. According to scripture, we know that love is patient, love is kind, love does not boast nor is it self-seeking. To walk in love is to not be easily angered, to rejoice in truth, to protect, to trust and to hope. Aside from 1 Corinthians 13, we could search through scripture to find several other definitions of what it means to walk in love. Be kind to one another ; lift each other up ; pray for your enemies ;  do good to those who mistreat you. The list is plenteous. Remember these words as you go through your day today.

Prayer: Today I want to thank you for your love. Give us the drive to be more like you even when our surroundings make it seem impossible! I pray for patience, kindness and a pure heart today. In Jesus name, amen.
