“And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined roud about him a light from heaven:” (Acts 9:3 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)
I have been enjoying the change of weather from the heat of summer to the cool crisp air of fall. It’s my favorite time of year! The leaves changing colors and falling from the trees creates a beautiful landscape.
This season has caused me to think about change. I believe the most wonderful change that will ever occur in a life is when a soul is surrendered to God.
As I watched new believers, Ryan and Ericka, sitting on the front row at church absorbing every word that was being said, it made me realize there is a change that has occurred in their lives. They come to church with a spring in their step; Bibles in their hands; ready to experience everything God has for them. The Spirit of God has changed them! Ryan’s Dad said, “I didn’t know what to do with him.” He’s witnessed the change first-hand.
The Apostle Paul had his life-changing moment on the road to Damascus. What a difference God made in his life! He was up to no good, but God changed his direction.
Prayer: Lord, I thank You for the changes You make in the lives of people. You’re a good God to reach down to humanity and make drastic changes in our hearts.
