Walking Exercise


Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.

Psalm 86:11, Holy Bible, New King James

Recent research suggests walking as one of the best form of exercise for cardiovascular patients. It strengthens muscles while bringing coordination to the entire body. Walking improves circulation and supplies blood and oxygen to the muscles, organs and brain. Walking is also thought to improve memory and postpone aging.

The Psalmist reminds us that walking in truth is good for the spiritual heart. It blends truth with respect for the name of the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to walk in Your truth. Amen.
