Contentment

contentment2“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6

So many people live in frustration, wanting more of this, a better version of that, and the latest release of the other… they are never satisfied and don’t even take the time to enjoy what they do have.

As Christians, we need to be known for both our godliness and our contentment. Because we serve God, we live in a godly way. And because we trust Him completely, we are content with what He has given us.

Our days and our lives become so much more peaceful when we embrace contentment. Regardless of what comes our way, we can rest in the knowledge that God is watching over us and working all things for our good. In this we are content.

Prayer: Lord, deepen my trust in You, to the point that my contentment is a living testimony to those around me.
