Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor. (Psalm 68:10, Holy Bible, King James Version)
The wealthy are often envied because of their financial stability, or at least the appearance of riches. No one covets the financial difficulties associated with being poor. Perhaps we should.
The psalmist fashioned his prayer to acknowledge God’s goodness prepared for the needy. If you have a financial need today, stretch your faith to believe that God will provide. It could be an opportunity for you to be the recipient of His goodness.
Prayer: Lord, the Psalmist recognized Your goodness reserved for the needy. Open my eyes to see that my situation isn’t helpless. You can supply my needs. Amen.
