Soar

Eagle“When your soul is famished and withering, He fills you with good and beautiful things, satisfying you as long as you live. He makes you strong like an eagle, restoring your youth.” (Psalm 103:5)

If you expand your reading to see the context of this verse in Psalm 103, you will read the good and beautiful things that should cause us to thrive as Christians!

Psalm 103:3-5 –

  • He forgives your sins; every one!
  • He heals your diseases; every one – healed here or healed in eternity!
  • He redeems your soul; saves your life!
  • He crowns you with love and mercy; a paradise crown!
  • He wraps you in goodness; beauty eternal!
  • He renews your youth; you’re always young in His presence!

Your strength; your enthusiasm; your energy, is renewed is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]! God is looking for Christians who are overcomers. And He has a wonderful promise for them. “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne” (Revelation 3:21).

Prayer: I thank You, Jesus, for the renewed strength You offer me each day. I was created to soar and not to struggle. You give me hope, joy and peace for my life. Jesus, you satisfy!
